December.........

2nd day of December... I missed writing on the 1st day of December. Holidays...... Now I realise they are so boring. I've got nothing to do. I just stay at home, read my novels. I also play games on Facebook, just to get enough money to supply my business. I'm so bored. I really have nothing to say. Gotta go now. Bye!!

Today is 11.11.11. Lovely couples and cute babies were born on this day. They were born this way. I am very happy today because today is SJK(C) Keong Hoe's graduation ceremony and 1A1 and 1A2 are having a lot of relief classes. Our KH teachers have been to somewhere and there are so few of us that we even have time to sleep. Nothing much to say but I just wanna say:

Jobs..... R.I.P.

Yo wassup people!

Y'all know that Jobs passed away. And I'm very outdated because I'm a bit late. My fault! Anyway, he's dead! Not to mention dead, passed away with a heart attack. So pity.

I also pity one thing: he couldn't sell his iPhone4s. So pity. Made so many but not much people buying it. The reason is people want the iPhone to be more thinner than usual.

I won't be writing so often anymore. This Thursday is my exams until next week Friday. I'll be very busy. Gotts eat ice cream now. Tataz~!

Love,
Xuan

Powerful quake jolts Sumatra

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) - A powerful earthquake jolted the western Indonesian island of Sumatra, killing a 12-year-old boy and sending people streaming from their houses and hotels in panic.

According to the Malaysian Meteorological Department, tremors from the 1.55am quake, 363km southwest of Pulau Pangkor, were felt in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Penang and Kedah.

Hundreds of patients from at least one hospital had to be evacuated, some in wheelchairs or with infusion drips still attached to their arms.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the 6.6-magnitude quake was centered 60 miles (100 kilometers) southwest of the city of Medan at a depth of 62 miles (110 kilometers).

It was too far inland, however, to generate a tsunami.

The temblor hit at 12.55am local time Tuesday, rattling people from their sleep in towns and villages across the island's northern tip. Maura Sakti, a mayor in Subulussalam, told the local station TVOne a 12-year-old boy had been killed.

He had no other details about injuries or damage.

Residents in Singkil, nearer to the quake's epicenter, said some electricity poles were knocked down, crashing into homes and causing blackouts.

"My wife was screaming, my children crying," said Burhan Mardiansyah, 37. "We saw our walls start to crack and everything inside the house was falling." "Thank God we're all safe."

Marni Aulia, a 32-year-old vendor in the town, said two hours after the quake people were still afraid to go back inside.

"We're worried about the aftershocks," she said.

Indonesia straddles a series of fault lines that make the vast island nation prone to volcanic and seismic activity.

A giant quake off the country on Dec. 26, 2004, triggered a tsunami in the Indian Ocean that killed 230,000 people, half of them in Indonesia's westernmost province of Aceh.

My teacher just told us and I really don't know it happened. I was sleeping like a pig! My teacher felt it because she was still on the computer around 2am. I think my mum felt it too for she doesn't sleep like a pig.

Gotta go now. Ciao!

My Holidays

I’m back. Finally back. So happy to be back. But I still won’t be updating so much. These pics are from my uncle. They are about my hols.

We were at PISA Aquatic Club. My uncle took a pic of my brother and cousin brother lying on the gate of the baby pool.

Same thing. Lucky thing my goggles are on. My cousin brother was quite funny. Instead of saying goggles, he said googles. Wow! I could have my phone and ask Google what is googles.

Later we went for dinner at Kayu Restaurant. We ate Roti Tisu. Wow! My mum never let us eat Roti Tisu. Thanks Uncle Chong!

Oh yeah! I met my BFF, Ruby!! But she’s not in here. Sorry, Ruby!

Then, my brother, sister and cousin brothers went to the garden to play Nerf Gun. Here are the pics.

Say cheese!!

Hi!

Shoot you and shoot me!

We surrender!

Love,

Xuan

Malaysia to test water and soil for radioactivity

KUALA LUMPUR: The Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry is to test samples of sea water, rain water and soil for radioactivity at various locations in the country and release the results periodically beginning 3pm today.

The tests are being done following the detection of higher-than-permissible levels of radioactivity in the samples of sea water taken from near the earthquake-damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan, Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili said on Friday.

The Atomic Energy Licensing Board (AELB) would conduct the tests to determine the density of Iodine 131 (I-131) and Cesium 137 (Cs-137) radionuclides in the samples of sea water, rain water and soil, he said in a statement.

"A report from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on March 29 confirmed that the situation was still serious at the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station in Japan," he said.

Dr Ongkili said the Malaysian Nuclear Agency would release the results of the analyses of the samples periodically beginning 3pm today.

The Fukushima Daiichi plant was damaged after an earthquake of 9.0-magnitude rocked north-eastern Japan and unleashed a tsunami on March 11, causing more than 10,000 deaths and 20,000 unaccounted for in the twin disasters. - BERNAMA

Be careful, my dear friends!

Hols

Aloha!

My hols are so boring. I'm in my house the whole week. But in the morning I've gotta go to school. Cause I've got my orchestra practice. Anyway, I'm gonna get my musical instrument soon! I can't wait for that day!!

Well, some of my friends spent their hols in such a nice way! Like, they went to Genting Highlands, took some beautiful pics. Well, I'm quite jealous but no worries. Cause I'm gonna hit that mission. Cause my mum's gonna work hard and when she's gained another level in her work, I'll be going to KL in a PRIVATE JET ! When my family is going to the stadium or hotel, we're gonna sit in a LIMO!

Omg, I can't wait for that to happen. And when I grow up, I'm also gonna live that life. And ya know what? When I'm going overseas or vacation, I promise my dearest friends to take them along! My mum, dad, bro and sis in one LIMO. Then, me and my friends in ANOTHER LIMO!!!! Omg, what a nice time. And my parents are gonna belanja them!!

Omg, I'm just saying too much. Well, the above statements are all about Amway. I'm gonna tell more about that in my next post. I'm just gonna say what I know about Amway. Basic thing about Amway is doing business. You make money. Even though you don't go to work for one week or one month, you'll still get your celery. Ain't that nice? So,or those who love money( like me) can stay tuned for my next post! If your interested, you can stay tune too!

Exams over!!!! But, there's bad news.

Yay!! Exams over!! I'm so happy! This is good news. But, I'm a little bit nervous. Cause I may fail in my History. I've received some news that some of my friends have failed in their History.

Now, it's the bad news:

TOKYO – A ferocious tsunami spawned by one of the largest earthquakes ever recorded slammed Japan's eastern coast Friday, killing hundreds of people as it swept away boats, cars and homes while widespread fires burned out of control.

Hours later, the tsunami hit Hawaii and warnings blanketed the Pacific, as far away as South America, Canada, Alaska and the entire U.S. West Coast.

Police said 200 to 300 bodies were found in the northeastern coastal city of Sendai. Another 88 were confirmed killed and 349 were missing. The death toll was likely to continue climbing given the scale of the disaster.

The magnitude 8.9 offshore quake unleashed a 23-foot (7-meter) tsunami and was followed by more than 50 aftershocks for hours, many of them of more than magnitude 6.0.

Dozens of cities and villages along a 1,300-mile (2,100-kilometer) stretch of coastline were shaken by violent tremors that reached as far away as Tokyo, hundreds of miles (kilometers) from the epicenter.

"The earthquake has caused major damage in broad areas in northern Japan," Prime Minister Naoto Kan said at a news conference.

The government ordered thousands of residents near a nuclear power plant in Onahama city to evacuate because the plant's system was unable to cool the reactor. The reactor was not leaking radiation but its core remained hot even after a shutdown. The plant is 170 miles (270 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo.

Trouble was reported at two other nuclear plants as well, but there was no radiation leak at any.

Even for a country used to earthquakes, this one was of horrific proportions because of the tsunami that crashed ashore, swallowing everything in its path as it surged several miles (kilometers) inland before retreating. The apocalyptic images of surging water broadcast by Japanese TV networks resembled scenes from a Hollywood disaster movie.

Large fishing boats and other sea vessels rode high waves into the cities, slamming against overpasses or scraping under them and snapping power lines along the way. Upturned and partially submerged vehicles were seen bobbing in the water. Ships anchored in ports crashed against each other.

The highways to the worst-hit coastal areas were severely damaged and communications, including telephone lines, were snapped. Train services in northeastern Japan and in Tokyo, which normally serve 10 million people a day, were also suspended, leaving untold numbers stranded in stations or roaming the streets. Tokyo's Narita airport was closed indefinitely.

Jesse Johnson, a native of the U.S. state of Nevada, who lives in Chiba, north of Tokyo, was eating at a sushi restaurant with his wife when the quake hit.

"At first it didn't feel unusual, but then it went on and on. So I got myself and my wife under the table," he told The Associated Press. "I've lived in Japan for 10 years and I've never felt anything like this before. The aftershocks keep coming. It's gotten to the point where I don't know whether it's me shaking or an earthquake."

Waves of muddy waters flowed over farmland near the city of Sendai, carrying buildings, some on fire, inland as cars attempted to drive away. Sendai airport, north of Tokyo, was inundated with cars, trucks, buses and thick mud deposited over its runways. Fires spread through a section of the city, public broadcaster NHK reported.

More than 300 houses were washed away in Ofunato City alone. Television footage showed mangled debris, uprooted trees, upturned cars and shattered timber littering streets.

The tsunami roared over embankments, washing anything in its path inland before reversing directions and carrying the cars, homes and other debris out to sea. Flames shot from some of the houses, probably because of burst gas pipes.

"Our initial assessment indicates that there has already been enormous damage," Chief Cabinet Secretary Yukio Edano said. "We will make maximum relief effort based on that assessment."

He said the Defense Ministry was sending troops to the quake-hit region. A utility aircraft and several helicopters were on the way.

A large fire erupted at the Cosmo oil refinery in Ichihara city in Chiba prefecture and burned out of control with 100-foot (30 meter) -high flames whipping into the sky.

From northeastern Japan's Miyagi prefecture, NHK showed footage of a large ship being swept away and ramming directly into a breakwater in Kesennuma city.

NHK said more than 4 million buildings were without power in Tokyo and its suburbs.

Also in Miyagi, a fire broke out in a turbine building of a nuclear power plant, but it was later extinguished, said Tohoku Electric Power Co. the company said.

A reactor area of a nearby plant was leaking water, the company said. But it was unclear if the leak was caused by tsunami water or something else. There were no reports of radioactive leaks at any of Japan's nuclear plants.

Jefferies International Limited, a global investment banking group, said it estimated overall losses to be about $10 billion.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the 2:46 p.m. quake was a magnitude 8.9, the biggest earthquake to hit Japan since officials began keeping records in the late 1800s, and one of the biggest ever recorded in the world.

The quake struck at a depth of six miles (10 kilometers), about 80 miles (125 kilometers) off the eastern coast, the agency said. The area is 240 miles (380 kilometers) northeast of Tokyo.

A tsunami warning was extended to a number of Pacific, Southeast Asian and Latin American nations, including Japan, Russia, Indonesia, New Zealand and Chile. In the Philippines, authorities ordered an evacuation of coastal communities, but no unusual waves were reported.

Thousands of people fled their homes in Indonesia after officials warned of a tsunami up to 6 feet (2 meters) high. But waves of only 4 inches (10 centimeters) were measured. No big waves came to the Northern Mariana Islands, a U.S. territory, either.

The first waves hit Hawaii about 1400 GMT (9 a.m. EST) Friday. A tsunami at least 3 feet (a meter) high were recorded on Oahu and Kauai, and officials warned that the waves would continue and could become larger.

In downtown Tokyo, large buildings shook violently and workers poured into the street for safety. TV footage showed a large building on fire and bellowing smoke in the Odaiba district of Tokyo. The tremor bent the upper tip of the iconic Tokyo Tower, a 1,093-foot (333-meter) steel structure inspired by the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Osamu Akiya, 46, was working in Tokyo at his office in a trading company when the quake hit.

It sent bookshelves and computers crashing to the floor, and cracks appeared in the walls.

"I've been through many earthquakes, but I've never felt anything like this," he said. "I don't know if we'll be able to get home tonight."

Footage on NHK from their Sendai office showed employees stumbling around and books and papers crashing from desks. It also showed a glass shelter at a bus stop in Tokyo completely smashed by the quake and a weeping woman nearby being comforted by another woman.

Several quakes had hit the same region in recent days, including a 7.3 magnitude one on Wednesday that caused no damage.

Hiroshi Sato, a disaster management official in northern Iwate prefecture, said officials were having trouble getting an overall picture of the destruction.

"We don't even know the extent of damage. Roads were badly damaged and cut off as tsunami washed away debris, cars and many other things," he said.

Dozens of fires were reported in northern prefectures of Fukushima, Sendai, Iwate and Ibaraki. Collapsed homes and landslides were also reported in Miyagi.

Japan's worst previous quake was in 1923 in Kanto, an 8.3-magnitude temblor that killed 143,000 people, according to USGS. A 7.2-magnitude quake in Kobe city in 1996 killed 6,400 people.

Japan lies on the "Ring of Fire" — an arc of earthquake and volcanic zones stretching around the Pacific where about 90 percent of the world's quakes occur, including the one that triggered the Dec. 26, 2004, Indian Ocean tsunami that killed an estimated 230,000 people in 12 nations. A magnitude-8.9 temblor that shook central Chile last February also generated a tsunami and killed 524 people.

Tsunami Alert for New Zealand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii, and others. Waves expected over the next few hours, caused by 8.9 earthquake in Japan!!! So please be careful.

My hair style (Which I don't quite like it)

Hello. I'm back! How long haven I not been writing my blog? Forget about it. =P Well, you know what I'm gonna say in this post. It's about my hair style. I don't quite like it. My mum's friend ( the hair stylist ) was supposed to cut my hair, but my dad told her assistant that anyone can cut my hair. Well, I told her that I want it like last time, but just cut it shorter. I don't know what's the matter with her. She just cut a different style. Ugh..... I don't quite like it.

My Chinese New Year

Hello. How's your CNY? Mine's fine. Had a great time, but I can't upload any photos yet about my CNY. I only have one photo to upload. Just take a look. Right up there.

I need some help. Actually, I wanna put the sentence on top, on top of my pic. Others can do it but I simply can't. Can ya'll teach me how to do it? Just leave it in the comment.

I was so happy during CNY. I get to play firecrackers. My aunt even gave me half of her son's share! My uncle help me install a game into my computer. I can't wait to start playing with it. XD I went to visit my grandpa's cousin sister. She says I'm so pretty. I was so shy. I was bullied by her grandchildren. They took pics of me!!! I really wanna find their Facebook name and add them! Muahahaha! I ate 3 rounds of steamboat, because the fishballs were very delicious! I also help my mum to do jelly. We poured the jelly into eggshells! Haha! It was my mum's and sis's idea! My cousin brothers had a sleepover in my house. I was having a hard time taking care of them. They keep on playing with my bro and sis. OMG! So stressed. I also have to watch them play Facebook cause they won't take turns. Next year, they are not gonna have a sleepover. They also spoil my timer. T_T They nearly spoil my computer. Phew!

Actually, the pic above is my new hairstyle for CNY. I really love it. I made it pop out! And I also did it side parting. =D I joined caroling this year.Had fun with everyone. I got RM100+ from my red packets. Woohoo!!!

Well, that's all I can write for now. Wait till my next one comes. =D

Lucky thing my friend's around
So run to ask him
Where's our actual class
And I found it
I was on cloud nine
Then a prefect came in and ask us to take our Buku Panduan
For assembly
It was the WORSE assembly I've ever been
No one dared to sing the National Anthem
And also whatever songs
That we need to respect our country
Then the HEADMISTRESS starts to BLA BLA BLA
Which I'm lazy to listen
After that
Penyampaian Hadiah
Nothing interesting
Then sing school songs
Then gotta stay back
Some teacher got announcements
BLA BLA BLA again
Then go back to class
Then my form teacher came in
And collect our fees
Then
She ask us to line up in 1 straight line
From short to tall
Then put us in places
I'm sitting at the 4th row
I can see the white board
Which is a good thing
Haha!
Then lesson starts
Nothing fun
After school
I went home and took a picture of me!
The pictures are on top.
Love ya'll!!
